Half a Million Child Porn Images Discovered in Man’s Home

Long-term porn addicts progressively move to harder types of porn thanks to desensitization. If this goes unchecked it can lead people to consume illegal varieties of pornography and opens them up to sex offender status. The internet may make you think you’re anonymous in your porn habits, but that is a lie as one man has found out.

A 62-year old man has been accused in federal court of receiving and possessing child pornography. But why is this a federal case? It’s the extent of his collection. According to investigators, they found half a million images on his devices. That’s not a typo. Plus, he had child pornography videos on DVDs.

The FBI states that the man confessed to downloading and viewing child porn for 15 years and meticulously classified the images according to name, age, and nationality. If he is convicted of the two charges, the minimum amount of time he’ll face in jail is 10 years. Given the huge extent of the alleged collection and its categorization, it’s not likely he’ll get the minimum.

This is a tragic case of where porn can lead you. It’s possible that this man was a born pedophile and went right to that level of porn. Now, all those images have caught up with him. The one good thing about the case is that the police could use the images to find those responsible for creating them.
