Using Custom White/Blacklists in X3watch

X3watch Premium includes a powerful content filter (AKA “website blocker”) that detects inappropriate content and blocks it from appearing in your browser. Like all filters, sometimes you may find it too strict and other times, perhaps not strict enough. That’s why we included an easy-to-use override feature called My Site Lists.

My Site Lists allows Premium subscribers to create their own custom lists of web sites that should be Blacklisted (blocked) or Whitelisted (allowed), despite what X3watch’s blocker thinks. Here’s how:

 

Allowing a Website: 

To allow a website in X3watch Premium, you will first need to log into your account by clicking here.

Once you have logged into your account, click the “SETTINGS” button located in the navigation bar at the top of the web page.

Once the “My Settings” page has loaded, click the purple button called “Whitelist Sites”.

Now are you ready to allow a website. Simply add the web site’s address (www.websitename.com) into the designated field on the page, and then click the purple button that says “Add URL To Whitelist”. The web site should appear in the list below.

 

Blocking a Website:

To block a website in X3watch Premium, you will first need to log into your account by clicking here.

Once you have logged into your account, click the “SETTINGS” button located in the navigation bar at the top of the web page.

Now are you ready to block a site. Simply add the website’s address (www.websitename.com) into the designated field on the page, and then click the purple button that says “Add URL To Blacklist”. The website should appear in the list below.
